Kimberley Harris collection launch, Sunday 15th September

Thank you so much to Kimberley for a really wonderful weekend. Kim unveiled a new collection of 17 new original works with many finding very appreciative new homes. The restful landscapes that Kimberley paints transport you through a window to a different place.

“‘I focus on the natural beauty of the countryside that I am so lucky to be surrounded by, with an emphasis on colour and light and how one affects the other at different times of the day.”

Gina Hawkshaw collection launch, Sunday 9th July

Sunday’s collection launch of 25 new original paintings was one of the most enjoyable artist-in-attendance events we have been lucky enough to hold at the gallery. It was a great turn out and the affinity and that our clients and gina’s collectors have with her work is huge testament to its quality and collectability.

Gina is one of the country’s most exciting and talented wildlife artists on today’s contemporary art scene and conveys the character of the animal she is portraying with such sympathy, life and passion that it is hard to believe that they aren’t just about to jump out t you from the canvas. Gina is also great fun to have around and hugely engaging with her collectors so if you ever get the chance – or we are lucky enough to hold another artist-in-attendance event with Gina, I would strongly recommend taking up the opportunity.

Richard Salter in-attendance, Sunday 30th April

What an incredible event at the gallery last Sunday with Richard Salter and the unveiling of his new collection. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to the gallery and supported Richard and the team, it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and so many new ones too.

This was Richard’s first show as a professional career artist where he unveiled a brand new collection of original artwork.  Following a deteriorating back injury sustained whilst on operations in Afghanistan, Richard has recently been medically discharged from the Army and has commenced his full-time artistic career slightly earlier than expected. The new work looks back on his army experiences and also forward to his future life as an artist. A must-see for both lovers and collectors of Richard’s work and also for those of you unfamiliar to such beautifully emotive art. You can see the full collection in the gallery until 13th May and also on our website.

Andrei Protsouk in-attendance, Sunday 11th December

We would like to say a huge thank you to Andrei Protsouk, Dennis Andreevich and Buckingham Fine Art Publishers Ltd for helping put on such an incredible show earlier this December. Andrei was with us from 12pm (it all started an hour early due to the number of collectors eager to see the artwork) until gone 5pm, during which time he unveiled – as well as finding lots of very appreciative new homes for – a stunning collection of new original artwork whilst also launching two brand new limited editions. The show was followed by another great fun post-event meal, so it was a highly memorable day all round. The feedback from our clients has been amazing, Andrei and Dennis, so thank you again for your kindness, generosity, warmth (and incredible artwork!). Looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Chris DeRubeis UK Tour, Sunday 16th October

It was another packed gallery for our Chris DeRubeis show with lots of our wonderful clients having the chance to meet Chris, Dave and Richard and hear Chris talk about his pioneering work. A lot of artwork found lovely new homes so we will hopefully be able to post some photos of those in situ very soon. Here are a few photos taken at the show of Chris with some of his collectors. Due to the popularity of the event and the tour as a whole, we are hoping to host another show with Chris next year so watch this space for more details of that. Please register your interest to be put on the guest list which we have already started to draw up!

Paul Oz ‘Icons’ collection launch, Thursday 29th September

What a fun and explosive night we had with Paul making his first visit to the gallery for the globally exclusive launch of his very first collection through Wishbone Fine Art. Paul’s ‘Explosive Icons’ collection of six major new original works and their accompanying limited editions certainly proved a huge hit – it is a must see range of work. From a helmeted Senna portrait through Heath Ledger’s Joker and on to Samuel L Jackson’s character, Jules, from Pulp Fiction, there really is something here for everyone. Paul’s hand painted canvas editions (in extremely limited numbers) are a brilliant way to make Paul’s work more accessible to a wider collector base. Visit the gallery now to view the works in person.

Relaunch Party and expanded gallery space, Saturday 17th September

Thank you to everyone who came to our gallery expansion launch show … to all of our friends of the gallery, collectors, trades and the gallery team for making it a wonderful weekend celebrating the newly-expanded gallery space – it’s more than we could ever have hoped for. It’s been a busy few weeks and we are all about to turn in for a well-earned glass of bubbly or two. The turn out at yesterday’s show took us aback with just under 300 visitors and the feedback on the new space, extended diversity and range of artwork has made everything extremely worthwhile – it was more than we could ever have wished for. Thank you to Lhouette, Richard Salter, Simon Gudgeon, Gina Hawkshaw and Colin Brown for being part of it. And a huge thank you to everyone who made the expansion possible over the last month or two … Chris and Stephen, Ady and Karl, Kevin and Kevin, Sam, Steph, Marcus, Ben, Barry, Bayer and Michael, John, Gareth, Rose, Lauren, Leon, Emma, Darren, Colin & Bro and Conor. If you weren’t able to make it along over the weekend, we really look forward to seeing you soon. Have a lovely evening, all @ Gallery 21.
