Damir May

Damir May is an internationally renowned artist who currently lives and works in Vienna, Austria.
He graduated from the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. The Academy teaches methods passed down through the centuries, from Renaissance to the late nineteenth century ateliers that taught such great painters as Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Caravaggio, Velasquez, Rembrandt, Lord Leighton, Alma-Tadema, Bouguereau, Pietro Annigoni and Michael John Angel, his teacher.

Damir’s work can be found in art collections through out the world, including His Royal Highness Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, His Imperial Highness Prince Akishino of Japan, Angel Academy of Art, Fred Ross, Chairman of Art Renewal Centar.

The works of Damir May are distinguished by an excellent knowledge of human anatomy, high quality in execution and an understanding of merging between form and content. The range of drawing effects that Damir manages to obtain with charcoal, thereby creating true artistic magic on paper, is quite simply amazing. His drawings are executed with excellent precision and are amazingly tangible.
