‘Fragile Planet’ Exhibition by Richard King – Meet the artist Saturday 4th December

To kick off our festive season we have a great exhibition full of vibrant colour, a show definitely not to be missed!

‘Fragile Planet’

Richard King

Start date: Saturday 4th December between 1pm – 4.30pm

Meet the artist: Richard will be in the gallery between 1pm – 4.30pm to welcome you to his new works. A great opportunity to discuss with the artist any future commissions specially created just for you.

Renowned for titling his original paintings on glass with song lyrics. Be one of the first to view his latest unique works, unrivalled by any other artist in the gallery his work truly stands alone.

Each of Richard’s works are painted on the reverse side of the glass (you view), quite an achievement considering the whole process needs to be done back to front and in reverse layering. eg; the foreground has to be painted first with the distant skies last.

He is very passionate about ecology and has seen first hand how we have affected our own environment and wants to make people aware of the changes by showing the beauty of this planet which might be lost to future generations. There is an ongoing theme to Richards paintings (Fragile Planet), which has become his painting objective; to seek out beautiful places which are under threat of ecological change.

Many of the expeditions to mountain scenes are as a result of gruelling treks to remote areas of outstanding natural beauty in various European countries.
Richard is a professional coach and four-star white-water Canoe and Kayak leader with vast experience.

Exhibition close date: The exhibition will remain in the gallery until 12th December 2021.

This is a FREE event.
