Meet The Artist Dale Bowen

Sat 23rd May ‘Live Studio’, Dale will be painting live in the gallery on the first day of the show between 12.00 – 3.00pm

You are invited to join us as the former Wedgewood potter turned professional artist exhibits his art and performs a live painting demonstration. Known for his unique, quirky artworks packed with bright, vivacious colours and texture. Dale has added marine scenes to his artistic portfolio. Featuring sail boats travelling across ocean waters, this latest style of Dale’s has proved to be incredibly popular with many of these pieces selling within days of arriving at the gallery.

During his time in the Wedgewood Prestige Department, Dale created many notable commissions including pieces for the Queen Mother’s 100th birthday. His works were exhibited extensively in museums around the world. This will be a great opportunity to not only meet the artist but to witness him in action creating another eye-popping creation bursting with colour and fun in what will be a fantastic day out for all the family.

CARO StVIRE:  Caro graduated from the University of Brighton with a first class degree in Fine Art and took postgrad courses at Chelsea College of Art and Design whilst honing her style and technique. She works within the field of abstracted realism, inspired by the breathtaking natural world around us.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

JOHN HORSEWELL:  The flair with which he paints communicates the pleasure of the location he has reveled in, inviting the viewer to share in the experience with him.
Working today from his studio on the Essex/ Suffolk border, Horsewell continues to express his affection for the natural world around him, his technique ever evolving.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

DUNCAN PALMER:  Inspired by the Newlyn School of Artists, Palmars distinctive representational paintings capture texture, light and atmosphere with seeming effortlessness. He frequently takes English landscapes and coasts as his subjects, and is particularly inspired by the sea with its diverse movements, rhythms and space.
