WOW! How Proud We Are!

Unfortunately we did not win the award this year but for a small family run business to be shortlisted for a ‘Salisbury Business Excellence Award’ is amazing news but to be a finalist for the ‘Business of The Year Award 2023’ is simply incredible. To be considered for this prestigious local award is something we are immensely proud of.

It would be such a strong message to all the existing High St retailers out there and hopefully encourage new potential boutique style businesses to branch out onto the High St for their first time. With many big national players leaving or closing down this can only open up existing shop leases for new negotiations on lower realistic rents. We firmly believe the future of the High St will return over the years to a stage where it use to be decades ago; interesting, different, bespoke, local and rewarding for the local community shoppers and visitors alike.

The Salisbury & District Business Excellence Awards are organised jointly by the Salisbury District Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Salisbury Bid organisation.

The award categories for 2023 are:

  • Start up Business of the Year Award (Sponsored by Salisbury Journal) – The Start-Up Business Award is open to any member who has been trading for at least two years and under five and can demonstrate success and sustainability.
  • Innovation Award (Sponsored by SGS) – The Innovation award recognises any member providing new technology, product, or service that has been shown to demonstrably reduce costs, increase productivity, improve product quality or in some other way provide a bottom-line benefit that is innovative.
  • Sustainable Business Award (Sponsored by Grist Environmental) – The Sustainable (Green) business award is open to an organisation who can demonstrate its commitment to reducing it’s carbon footprint in all it does, in the most sustainable way.
  • Charity Award (Sponsored by St Thomas Church) – The Charity Award is open to any charitable organisation who can demonstrate how their business has provided a long service of support in the community and continues to do so.
  • Service Excellence Award (Sponsored by Insight6) – The Service Excellence award is open to any member that go above and beyond for their employees, suppliers and customers supporting their development, promoting high standards and providing a happy and healthy work and shopping experience.
  • Tourism and Hospitality Award – The Tourism and Hospitality Award goes to any business that can demonstrate its ability to provide a first class experience for visitors, excellent feedback, excellent business results and a high return rate.
  • Business of the Year Award 2023 (Sponsored by Parker Bullen and Aspire Defence) – The Business of the Year Award is open to any member who can demonstrate an established market position, excellent growth, expansion plans and resilience as well as effective leadership, innovation, an ethical approach to business and strong results.
